Desk accessories

Placed in the center of my desk, just below my monitor, sits a scale model car. Usually it's made by Hot Wheels or Matchbox, though occasionally by a lesser-known manufacturer. Some of them I’ve had since the mid-’70s; others have only been with me for a few weeks. I don’t have a large number by collector standards, but the assortment includes cars—both real and imaginary—that I’ve liked for one reason or another. Some have stories; others simply represent a design I’ve admired.

Every Monday, I swap out the display for a new car. You’re welcome to stop by and check out the current model.
